This trip report is a copy of the original, published soon after the ascent, on June 19 2017, under the name “A Taste of Nature”, on summitpost.org.
Preparation
Wait what? why should I prepare? Hiking a couple of peaks every month is not easy and heading for the bigger ones far from home. We had the trip in the books for about one and a half months before we left. We waited and waited and after changes to the dates, the itinerary and the route. Finally we settled for 16 and 17 of June as our dates and the Via Normale as our route.
